Making your own plant developer: First, find plants! Some work better than others, such as cilantro, mint, tansi, wheat and lavender. What you are looking for is plants high in hydroquinone – the organic chemistry in plant that helps the developer work Second – pulverize your plants until some of their natural juices come out – using a hammer or piece of wood is helpful Third – add boiling water and mix or let it sit for about 30-45 mins, then add the washing soda and vitamin C. The developer needs to be about 85 degrees F in order to work properly. You can only use your developer up to 3 times (if you’re lucky!). |
