“In our present moment of heightened consumption, environmental and social degradation, and removal of process in image-making (AI, digital automation, and the frictionless swipe), Morgan’s’ handmade cinema practice intervenes differently. By creating images through direct contact between film and touch, she enacts a sensory and material approach to non-digital film, restoring its relationship to touch, craft, subject, and time.
